This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act as it stands in 2026, and it is dated at the bottom so you can see when it last changed.
Who we are
The responsible party is Nuwave Industries, an office fit out and furniture supply company at Thornhill Drive, Sunningdale, Cape Town. You can reach us on 021 418 4933 or at sales@nuwavefurniture.co.za.
The Information Officer
Our Information Officer is Garth Dorr. For anything in this notice, write to sales@nuwavefurniture.co.za or phone 021 418 4933 and ask for the Information Officer.
What we collect and why
Three forms on this site collect personal information: the quote request form, the fit out enquiry form and the spec it for me form on product pages. Depending on the form, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, company name, a message, and any floor plans or drawings you choose to upload.
The site also stores a small amount of information in cookies in your browser: the quote list you build while you browse, a sign in cookie for our own staff desk, and, if you arrived through one of our advertising campaigns, the campaign tags from that first visit, kept in one first party cookie for 90 days and attached to your enquiry so we know which advertising works.
We use all of it for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry, prepare your quote and deliver your order. We do not sell it and we do not use it for anything unrelated.
Supplying it is voluntary
You choose what to give us. Without a name and a way to reach you we cannot send a quote or arrange a visit, and that is the only consequence of leaving something out.
Who we share it with
Order and delivery details go to the factories that make the furniture and the carriers that deliver it, and only what the order needs. Sent quotes are archived in our Dropbox account. Email to and from us passes through our email provider. Nobody else receives your information unless the law requires it.
Where it is stored
Your information stays in South Africa, except where a named service stores it abroad: Dropbox and our email provider may hold copies outside the country. Both operate under their own published data protection terms, which provide safeguards of the kind section 72 of the Act requires for information leaving South Africa.
How long we keep it
Quote records are kept for the tax retention period of five years, then removed. Enquiry records that never became a quote are removed after twelve months. The site clears form records automatically on that schedule.
How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted connection, form records sit in a password protected system that only our own staff can sign into, and uploaded floor plans are stored with the enquiry they belong to and nowhere else.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how it is used, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier. Use whichever channel suits you: email sales@nuwavefurniture.co.za, phone 021 418 4933, or WhatsApp the same number. We answer within a reasonable time and without charge for a first request.
Direct marketing
We send no direct marketing without your opt in, and every marketing message we ever send carries a working unsubscribe.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your information badly and we have not put it right, you may complain to the Information Regulator: JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, 2001; phone 010 023 5200; email enquiries@inforegulator.org.za or complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies and the one advertising tag
The site sets these cookies: the quote list that keeps your build while you browse, the staff desk sign in used only by our own team, the 90 day campaign tag cookie described above, and a cookie that remembers your answer to the consent bar. One Google advertising tag runs on the site to measure whether our advertising works. It is blocked from measuring until you allow it through the small consent bar, nothing in that bar is pre ticked, and declining is one tap. Your choice is kept for 180 days and you can change it by clearing the site’s cookies.
